This board was actually formed in the year 1983 and it was established under the act of 1976 that is by the government of Punjab. Punjab education commission was established in the year 2005 that was with the responsibility to conduct and monitor examination for 5th and 8th class these examination are not compulsory but some students appear in them for their practice in the board.
